Packers 2024-25 Season Thread

The Green Bay Packers cut back on construction projects around Lambeau Field because of the stalled lease negotiations with the city, but some work continues at the stadium and at Titletown.

At Lambeau Field, projects include renovation of offices on the second, third and fourth floors of the atrium, construction of a third locker room and concourse upgrades.

At Titletown, the Packers are adding a two-story, 46,048-square-foot building east of the US Venture office building and connected to the Titletown Podium. The podium is the platform on which the office building sits, with enclosed, surface-level parking underneath.

Aaron Popkey, Packers director of public affairs, said the projects are meeting their schedules.

The team began renovating offices in the atrium when football operations moved to their new quarters south of the Oneida Nation gate before last season.
"The football staff moving to the expanded football area presented an opportunity to renovate office areas which largely had not been renovated since they opened in 2003," Popkey said. "It does provide flexibility for current staff as well as future staffing needs."

The offices are scheduled to be available in early 2025.

The Packers are adding video monitors and new signs to the lower concourse at Lambeau. The plan was also to upgrade concession stands as they had for the upper concourse last year, but that work was put on hold when the city called off lease negotiations. All told, the Packers said they passed on $80 million worth of additional work at Lambeau this off season.

The concourse work should be done before the start of the regular season.

Construction of third locker room at Lambeau underway​

The team is building a third locker room at Lambeau to accommodate non-Packers special events, such as college football games and soccer matches. In the past, the Packers converted a player gym to a temporary locker room, but the team would like to host more of those events and a permanent locker room was deemed necessary. The project was estimated at $5 million.

A request for a $3 million reimbursement from the Green Bay/Brown County Stadium District will be taken up again when the board meets in June. Board members tabled the matter at their April meeting, saying they wanted information on how many other stadiums had more than two locker rooms. The money would come from the district's capital improvement fund, which can only be used for projects at the stadium. Money in the fund comes from season ticket holder user fees.

New building at Titletown could be home to fitness center, retail stores​

At Titletown, the Packers said the new building could be used for a fitness center and two food and beverage establishments, such as a restaurant and café, or other retail businesses. The Packers said they should be ready to details about tenants in the fall.

Titletown is a more than 45-acre development immediately west of Lambeau Field. It is a commercial, residential, recreational and entertainment district that includes a 10-acre park through its middle, with playgrounds, a football field, an ice rink in winter and a snow-tubing hill open to the public. Commercial tenants include Lodge Kohler hotel, Hinterland Brewery and Restaurant, Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine and Orthopedics Clinic, The Turn restaurant, Associated Bank, Titletown Tech business accelerator, and the US Venture office building.

Residential developments include Titletown Flats apartments and TitletownHomes townhouses lining Brookwood Drive.

An area along Lombardi Avenue, between the US Venture building and The Turn restaurant, remains for additional development. The approximately 2-acre site would allow for 80,000 to 120,000 square feet of development.

I am guessing Driver shows up every now and then for stuff in WI but he's been retired over a decade now not really invovled in WI much anymore. Jordan Love with his new foundation is the perfect guy to take over as the face of the softball game.
 
I think Donald wants to spend his time in Texas. Anyhow, that's what I heard down here.

I know people who have talked to him down here. He has a home here, and a kind of penthouse in Milwaukee. I have a hunch the Milwaukee digs will be on the market, if it already isn't.
