The Green Bay Packers will take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football, marking the 15th consecutive regular season that the Packers and Bears have squared off in primetime, the longest streak in the NFL since the merger (Elias Sports Bureau).
  • Sunday will mark Game No. 201 in the NFL's oldest rivalry. The Packers hold a 99-95-6 edge in the series, which includes two playoff games (1-1).
  • Green Bay has won 10 of the last 12 meetings against the Bears at Lambeau Field.
  • The Packers have outscored Chicago, 320-170, in the last 12 home games, scoring 20-plus points in 10 of those contests.
  • It is the ninth time in the last 10 years that the Packers-Bears game at Lambeau Field will be played in primetime.
  • Last season, Green Bay swept the regular-season series between the two teams for the 15th time in the last 26 years (since 1994) and the seventh time in the last 11 seasons.

  • With Aaron Rodgers as the starting quarterback, Green Bay is 19-5 (including playoffs) against the Bears, with one loss coming in 2013 after Rodgers left the game with an injury after the first series.

Never and easy game for the Pack, regardless of record. In my mind, they should be able to roll the Bears, but this year, with teams all bunched up talent-wise, I don't know what will happen. Hopefully the Packers come out hungry and hammer them early on and break their spirit. I'm gonna guess the Pack wins by at least 13.
 
A couple of things after last week, when your big focus on Monday after that loss is MVS getting harassed on Twitter I have serious misgivings with the organization. My personal opinion is they should move on from him because of A. He's a very inconsistent FB player who isn't living up to expectations and B. After this week he's thin-skinned and mentally weak. Bad combo.

Second, the lack of urgency in addressing the defense is a trend from the former Thompson era that doesn't sit well with me. Frankly, it stinks.

As for the game, the Bears have enough defense to cause issues... it is simple really... man over on Adams... pressure Rodgers and the run game, and make someone else beat you.

The problem as I see it is the Bears offense is still just meh. Packers 31 Bears 13

my question is: what are the expectations for a late fifth round draft pick?

the only stats i could easily find say a wr chosen in the fifth round has a 16% chance of success in the nfl.

i think he's more than living up to expectations. is he a superstar? nope. is he a decent #2 receiver? not yet.

but he's doing better than every other wide receiver taken in the fifth round or later in the 2018 draft. and way better than the wide receiver that the packers took in the fourth round in 2018.

But I don't think the Pack will roll anybody.

I think all 16 games are must wins, but, I agree with Cheesedog, this is a huge must win.

If we leave the field Sunday Night at 7-4 and the Bears at 6-5. I believe we will be in a world of hurt.

And, like High Lives cures what ails me, the Packers D seems to cure opposing offenses. The Colts had 40+% of their yards after contact.

And, And, our offense isn't getting the job done. Who knows, MVS has been coming on. I remember Adams not doing anything and then boom. Hopefully it's the same.
 
It's a close game until in the 4th qtr the Bears turn it over and Packers put the game to bed with a TD off that TO.

I'm so confused as to what the Packers are capable of doing on both sides of the ball, that even against a team that's barely able to compete as a pro team is a challenge. They just don't seem to have that "push" that makes them a real threat, and that in itself pretty much sums up where this season has, and is going.

I don't trust our defense at all. I think they give up 27 points. Some of those points could even come off offensive mistakes, like fumbles, and INTs. Short fields kill a defense that's already shaky.

I'm going with 27-24 Packers. A late FG, then hold on while the Bears attempt. It might even be a 50+ yard FG attempt wide, at the end, that gives us the win.
