That was the word from manager Craig Counsell on Sunday, after Matt Garza was roughed up for seven earned runs in 3 2/3 innings against the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday.

It sucks, but when you are paying a guy that kind of money you have to throw him out there. Not pitching him means no trade value so having him pitch is no worse than not having him pitch, especially in a season like this. Who else do you throw out there. They are already young at 3 spots and will likely have another young guy added to the rotation this week when they will need a 5th starter. The season is lost, just put Garza in the line-up every 5 days and see what happens.
