Everyone expected a big time battle between the No. 12 Wisconsin Badgers and Marquette Golden Eagles and the two teams didn’t disappoint. It even took an extra five minutes to decide the winner, but ultimately the hosts prevailed in a 73-69 overtime thriller at the Fiserv Forum. Marquette played well and had a little more depth on offense. UW didn't get as much from as many guys. Happ was clearly the man. Trice was OK but was not able to get free as often as he has against other teams. Reuvers was OK.

What was concerning was the total lack of offense from Davison and Pritzl. Davison does not look like himself - does he have some sort of minor injury? He's not shooting as much and yesterday was clearly off. It's probably good that he didn't shoot more. Pritzl was his usual Jekyll and Hyde self. He's either really good or awful - offensively. The two SGs combined were an O-fer on all shots. Those 2 are the most obvious place to point fingers.

A good road test that will help UW when they hit the rest of the tough Big-10 season in Jan.

5-24 from 3 won’t win any games on the road. As to Davidson I’ll chalk it up to a bad day. We was shooting 90% from the line and missed 3 in a row. Form looked good just one of those days. Trice is more of a 2 guard he’s just not the kind of kid who distributes the ball well but it is what it is. If anything they need to get more scoring out of King. Still think this team is a 4-5-6 in the league. The win vs Oklahoma looks better each day
