It's amazing how many people still don't understand the dynamics of where the Badger football program is going. They don't seen, nor understand, how Luke's recruiting is focusing more and more in the South. The billboards, and ballyhoo up North is fantastic for getting kids out of that 300 mile radius, while sending the high powered recruiters on the road with the intent of getting your foot in the door with coaches everywhere, offering them tidbits of help where they can. Then it's sitting in some kid's living room in the middle of an area that they don't want to go, after dark, telling Mom, and maybe Pop, how their Son is going to be able to change the course of life for their entire family, with the education, and sports opportunities, offered by the school. Now it's also turned into an open discussion on money available in NIL deals that the school has nothing to do with, but they've "heard are out there."

Luke's crew won't only sell the idea, they'll sell the reality, because the kids they will say that to are those who may very well have that much potential, but at least have enough potential that if they play for a major player in the football world, the job opportunities after college are huge because of things like the alumni association. Most won't understand too much beyond the words; "playing football," but rest assured, the words beyond that are meant for parents, who want their kids to succeed.

What you see is what was needed. It's a complete change in culture. It's going from the tea sipping at 2 PM in gated communities where a pass is needed to get in to visit someone, and the coach/recruiter, taking a trip to the real world of candidates for scholarships. It's that place, where schools start to determine whom will get offers, and won't, and potential athletes start to sort out which schools interest them.

Embrace the change. It's gonna be one helluva ride.

As an example of how it's done....Kirby Smart is doing 100 GA HS visits this weekend in the state and then has several out-of-state living room visits scheduled.... it's a grind but the good ones work hard at it.

*note UGA working on class of 26 recruits already

I trust our new guys. I think they will take Bucky on a great ride.
Gonna be fun to watch. Miss him at UC but sure glad the Badgers got Fick.
