That about sums it up. The guy who broke the record for most catches in a SB was a running back. And not even the starting RB. White played an amazing game. UW should be proud.

IMO White was the MVP. He was the only guy who was consistently getting it done all game. Without him Brady really doesn't have the chance for his record setting comeback.

James White should have been named MVP. He did it all. 3 TDs and a 2 point conversion. 2 rushing TDs and 1 receiving TD. He accounted for 1/4 of the total yards and over half the scoring for the Patriots.

I will not deny that Brady had a really nice game, but White should have gotten the MVP. The media or whoever votes on these things are such a bunch of front-runner types. They are so ready to slobber all over the "stars" that they often miss what's really happening.

Sometimes it's about rewarding the guy that plays above his head and makes the plays that need to be made that win a game. If White has an ordinary game yesterday, the Pats likely lose.

It's not just about telling the entitled guys how good they are when those guys are doing just what they always do. Sometimes even a star has a sublime performance and deserves the award, but yesterday was not one of those days.
