Holiday Face-Off at Fiserv Forum sets high goal for inaugural men's hockey tournament

I am hopeful that this leads to what Wisconsin wants it to lead too: NCAA regional playoff sites for the Men's side, and Frozen Fours for both Men and Women's.

That the Lady Badgers haven't even been able to play on "home" ice for a title is a joke given their prominence and fan base.

Yet the Gophers and Bulldogs (of Duluth) get that chance frequently.
 
Not sure its the same for hockey but NCAA hoops, even regional is more on a big basis. UW has had a history of not being very aggressive, I think last regional hoops in Madison was maybe 15 years ago and Marquette has hosted 2 or 3 times since in Milwaukee
