Former Badgers star Rob Andringa says he's 'doing fine' as he starts in-home hospice care

I've lost too many friends to cancer. It's such a damned shame. My heart goes out to Rob and his family. He was a damned good hockey player at UW. I remember him well. Someday I'd like to see a huge wall built with a lot of room on it, and the names of all those young men and women listed on it, who have performed at UW in their various sports. Not just winners, but everyone, because they're part of that history. Make it a huge wall, 10 miles long if necessary, and 50 ft. high. Just get it out there, so generations of family in the future can go there, and point at it, and say; "This is us. He/She, came before us." There needs to be memory.

Having lost a cousin to cancer, who played sports at UW at a high level, I wish there was something honoring him, as well as everyone who played with him. We forget, way too easily, who came before us.
