I had to chuckle when I saw where they ranked the Packers WR group. I'm afraid these guys only look at the top 10 to 15 receivers and judge off that. If you have two of them on a team, you're #1 in their eyes. Gotta be, even if the rest of the guys on that roster couldn't catch a cold if they had to.
There are way too many so called "experts" out there reporting on football, who haven't got a clue as to what makes a "team." They see glitzy numbers for a handful of guys in each skills area, and anoint their teams the top dogs. No thought whatsoever about what the surrounding cast is, that makes that player that good. Sometimes, in the case of WRs, a guy with a lot of glitzy yardage on a team is only that "good" because they don't have anyone else who can resemble a quality receiver. They rely too much on that one stud.
The Packers WR room is a cast of players who have excellent skills, although none of them is classified as a top 5 at this point. It's probably better that nobody is. Having so many different players who can step up and be the man when needed, because the defense is concentrating on someone else on your team, is far superior to having a team where your stud receiver gets double and triple coverage on nearly every down.
Anyhow, ranking the Packers 21 in this preseason evaluation is ridiculous, and shows just how inept and out of touch with reality that these so called "experts" really are.
