The league would love a streaming partner. When Sunday Ticket had an opt out window the league shopped a package but no takers. Why? Rights fees were excessive and right now Amazon is having a real struggle with generating ad revenue did Yahoo.

but if your numbers tell you that the market for streaming is only 2.5 million, you should set the price for streaming rights accordingly.

Amazon pays $65m per year for Thursday only. Price is set to some degree. Now scale that to 17 weeks and multiple games just do the math. ESPN+ will get the streaming deal in 2022
