The league would love a streaming partner. When Sunday Ticket had an opt out window the league shopped a package but no takers. Why? Rights fees were excessive and right now Amazon is having a real struggle with generating ad revenue did Yahoo.

Amazon pays $65m per year for Thursday only. Price is set to some degree. Now scale that to 17 weeks and multiple games just do the math. ESPN+ will get the streaming deal in 2022
