Four of Green Bay's top six linemen have contracts that expire after next year.
The Green Bay Packers can rest easy with the starting offensive line this offseason, knowing that all five starters (plus key backup JC Tretter) are locked up for the 2016 season.
However, 2017 is a different story.
Three starters - left tackle David Bakhtiari and guards Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang - plus Tretter have contracts that expire after next season. And although Ted Thompson tends to take care of his own players, there is no guarantee that he will be able to find a way to retain all four of them beyond next year. Therefore, while finding a starter is not a need for next year, it would not be a surprise to see Thompson look to draft some depth on the offensive line this season with an eye on development for 2017.
In today's curds, we look at one of those starters with an expiring contract and another who was a steady workhorse on the line all year long.

Despite back issues that kept him on the injury report for most of the season, Sitton missed just eight snaps all year on offense, and those only were the results of the Packers getting blown out.

That's because the going rate for even an average starter at left tackle is around $7 million per year, and Bakhtiari seems likely to get something in that range if he continues to improve his game in 2016.
