Brewers' Shane Peterson playing for keeps

The 27-year-old joined the Milwaukee Brewers on June 3 from Class AAA Colorado Springs with just two previous major-league games under his belt. Since then he’s proven to be a competent pinch hitter, made his first start since 2013 at first base and is now playing most days in center field after the Carlos Gomez trade.
