Really no surprise Pete Carmichael who was fired as OC in NOLA has been hired to be Sean Payton's OC in Denver.
 
That’s good for Detroit and if he’s a hot candidate he’ll have options but it’s a little odd for a guy to turn down jobs two cycles in a row.
Rumor was he wanted $15 million a year. I can't see any owner forking over that much money as a 1st time HC.

It doesn’t sound like money was really the object but if you like your job it takes a lot to get you to budge. I understand it, but it’s not without risks and it is without a whole lot of precedent. Lions have to be thrilled though.

How well it works out in DC is a big question. They'll need at least a couple of years to get the stink off the program as it existed under Snyder.
