Wow! Minnesota came out to play. Overcame a 15 point deficit, and took it down to the last shot in the game. Wisconsin wins 61-59.
A friend of mine, who knows the Grandfather of one of the Gophers players told me that their coaching staff has been pushing it that the Badgers take them for granted, and that Wahl, Crowl, and Winter should all be Gophers, but Wisconsin underhandedly poached them from where they belonged.
When he told me, I kind of laughed, and then he said that they had bulletin board fodder showing that they had only beaten the Badgers twice in the last 17 meetings. They were trying to piss them off enough that they went out and played with a vengeance. It worked. They nearly took the Badgers down. Fortunately we've got some players who aren't intimidated, and the 3 kids from less than 20 minutes away from the barn in Minnesota played darned good games.
I don't know what to say about AJ Storr and Klesmit. Those two are really a breath of fresh air. I love it!
