2025 NFL Season Thread

What did the SB teach the league ? A top-tier defense and a quality kicker go a long way. This trend is something our friend Gute needs to pay attention to.
The Rams put almost 500 yards on this vaunted defense, on the road. To me this game underscored the need for the OL. Seattle could handle a 4 man pass rush and New England simply couldn't. NE looked like GB against the Browns, their offense was non-functional because their OL couldn't handle the Hawks front 4. Hawks defense has been excellent all year but their dominance last night IMO was a result of personnel failures in NE.

And maybe that's the biggest point of all, sometimes it's just about getting lucky in your match ups. SF has been to a couple SB recently but they had to deal with demon-mode Mahomes and Spags, Seattle shows up and they get to play a rookie OL and a QB playing with a glued on right shoulder.

Preach!

Fix the Offensive Line. Keep Love upright. Give him a good pocket to step into throws in. Give recievers time to get to their spots. Open holes for Jacobs. Keep the defense off the field. Be the Big Mack Diesel that runs the Pack.

Fix the Offensive Line. Fix a lot of problems.

Seattle secondary was playing a lot of zone, they did a great job of taking away all the first window stuff and Maye simply couldn't get to the second window stuff because of the pressure. Picture perfect D but with better blocking up front, NE probably has more opportunities.

Also, if you don't believe me about luck, remember that this is the play that helped win the 1 seed for Seattle. A flukey ping pong 2 point conversion gave them home field and favorable match ups.

Talk all the OL you want...defense wins championships

Everybody wants to do what he's saying and everyone is trying to, it's just way easier said that done and typically even more difficult to do for a period of 2-3 years consistently.
