2025 Badger Football Thread

UW bragging about getting Matt Jung a d3 player is very disturbing to me. It smacks of the BA era BS... walk-ons and the small town blah blah are just not going to cut it. Big red flag
 
Mettauer signing with Sam Houston were Phil Longo is the HC. Landyn Lock also offered by Sam Houston.
 
Badgers have added a DL from the portal. Jay'vier Suggs, a 295# DT who played at LSU last year, has commited to Wisconsin. Should be a solid depth piece as part of a DL rotation.
 
College Football is crazy.

I'll admit it looks like we got hit worse than most, and I know we're bringing in a lot of FCS, D2, and D3, but honestly, can anybody really say that the players being brought in aren't as good as what's left?

Maybe just maybe these guys will have a chip on their shoulder from being overlooked and will be hungrier and give us a scrappy team.

Yeah I'll say it...Michigan, USC, Penn State, etc aren't bringing in kids with that skill set they are raiding the SEC/ACC etc for talent. This whole chip on their shoulder, hungry BS went the way of the dodo 20 years ago.

Talent matters and without it, back to the 80's we go.

Not having the correct NIL funding and the optics created in the offseason have limited our pool of players. In no way can you recreate the talent level of the players Michigan is adding with FCS and MAC talent. Adding D3 players is frankly a joke.

Does the alumni not just care that UW has such a weak NIL collective or does UW not have good enough people to pump the alumni to fund a NIL collective?
