2024 NFL Season Thread

Someone will be able to use him for at least a couple years to help stabilize that position. But as was mentioned it has to be a system that fits his skill set,
but is his current skill set the same as what made him great? he's not a great runner any more, that's for sure.

If he is willing to do a one year vet min deal for 2024 to try to prove he has life left in him I think several teams will want him and if he can have a good year in 2024 he might find a team willing to give him a 3 year deal.

Russ could also play the waiting game, stay in shape, and wait for someone to lose their QB to injury, step in, get a year under his belt to prove himself, and market himself again. Of course it would take the right program before I'd step up if I was him. He's better off riding into the sunset with his money than risking major injury, if the fit ain't right.

Good player, no brainer to lock him up. That's actually pretty reasonable for a corner.

Bills in massive attempt to get under cap and gain some cap room redid former Packer Rasul Douglas contract. Douglas was due about $11 million in 2024 and bills took $3.25 million of that and moved it into a signing bonus adding 3 void years to his contract.

Bills are becoming what GB was a old team chasing a ring and having to keep re-fi their loans each year to keep going for it. This year forced to move on from several older players though as they had to finally make a move to stay under the cap.

That's not a bad move for them, he can still play. Like you said overall their issue is contract cap hits coming due for too many guys over 30 and/or injured.

Chris Jones gets 5 year deal with $95 million guaranteed in the first 3 years of the deal. If Kenny Clark now values himself based on this contract are you willing to give Clark close to this or do you look to trade Clark because you don't even want to try to come close to this even if it say 10-15 million less guaranted?
