2024 NFL Season Thread

Tua says when he returns he won't wear a guardian cap.

The NFL can't do anything to stop him. If doctors clear him to play it's his personal choice. Only way to stop players would be having pressure on both the NFL and the NFLPA during the next CBA talks say if a player gets X amount of concussions in their career they will no longer be medically cleared to play and will have to retire.

Cooper Kupp on trade block should GB show interest? Rams want a 2nd rounder but offer a 3rd or 4th and offer a guy like Wicks back? Kupp under contract for next couple years at like $20 million a year but if healthy he would be a WR1 for the team.

his best days have passed him by. i like the current makeup of our wide receivers, but i would consider drafting another one next year if a fast guy who stays healthy, fights for the ball and doesn't drop many passes is available. yeah, i know - wishful thinking.

The only way I make a trade for Kupp is if there is an injury bug that hits in the next 2 weeks, otherwise you leave that WR room as is.

If I am a Cowboys fan I am really hoping Jerry kicks the bucket soon

Jerry Jones really said Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy is designing bad plays and bad concepts on offense

Jerry Jones. Hired Jimmy Johnson to coach an NFL team. It was a horrible team, went 1-15 his first year. In 3 years he'd won a Super Bowl and repeated it. Then Jones stepped in and became the "driving force," making the decisions on personnel, and directing traffic. Constantly second guessing Johnson, and saying that he was the one who made the decisions, even on the field.

The team went down the crapper.

Every once in a while he'll find a good coach, and for a period of time, let them do their thing, and even draft according to what the coach wants. Then he turns it back into "his team," and no matter what the coach says, it don't matter.

McCarthy took the job knowing full well that Jones is in full psychopathic know it all mode, and will be making all the decisions, and he should just do what he's told.

There you have the Dallas Cowboys, wrapped up into what I've seen of them from day one. I knew Jones was a total ass when he bought the team and immediately fired Tom Landry saying he "Didn't understand the nuances of the NFL." Landry, a man who was beyond reproach as a coach. One of three great coaches from that general period of time. Landry, Shula, and Lombardi, all with the pedigree for success.
