look at that list of the top ten paid qbs. only two of them have a winning record in the playoffs. only one of them has won a super bowl and he's the lowest paid of the bunch. i don't see any correlation between paying the qb a cap-busting salary and winning the championship. in fact, it seems like not having an overpaid qb must make a team more likely to win a super bowl since only three super bowl wins are accounted for by that list.Got to pay Love or then you trade him and say ok we will go with cheap QB's and hope we can just win with defense which GB has shown they can't do.
Can you in this day and age win with a Trent Dilfer and put all your money into the defense hoping you give up under 2 TDs a game so you just need a offense that can score 2 TDs a game?look at that list of the top ten paid qbs. only two of them have a winning record in the playoffs. only one of them has won a super bowl and he's the lowest paid of the bunch. i don't see any correlation between paying the qb a cap-busting salary and winning the championship. in fact, it seems like not having an overpaid qb must make a team more likely to win a super bowl since only three super bowl wins are accounted for by that list.
Some successful teams aren't doing it that way - like those pesky bastards in San Franciscothat's the game anymore
pure luck because their guy is on a rookie deal.... his time is also comingSome successful teams aren't doing it that way - like those pesky bastards in San Francisco
Purdy next off-season I am guessing sets new NFL record dealpure luck because their guy is on a rookie deal.... his time is also coming
let's not forget that he was the last player chosen in the draft and wasn't expected to be a starter in year one. lots of people have criticized his game, and he sure isn't perfect. but the 49ers have so many top-notch players in other positions that they still do very well, even if they can't quite beat the chiefs.pure luck because their guy is on a rookie deal.... his time is also coming
