no it's bad...are best Wr just left

Nevermind, I just found it.

Sucks to lose Kekahuna. But, hell, he needs to go somewhere with a real passing game if he's going to get a shot at the NFL - and, honestly, Wisconsin failed miserably. I'm sure he feared another year of Locke passing.

He was probably gone when Longo was fired but just played out the season.

This team will be lucky to win 3 games next year. Fickell probably knows he's going to get canned after next year.

This is weird. He wasn’t some long shot hire out of left field, he was a well respected coach.

Seems like he has no management skills though. Sounds like lack of leadership and clear vision.

Well it sounds like despite all the turmoil they managed to keep most of the '25 commits. Sounds like so far they have 24 letters of committment. Class is solid - depending on the source it's a 20-25ish rated class. The misses are at RB(0) and WR(1) where they really didn't add much, if anything. Other than those 2 positions, there are quality additions at every other position. A little surprised Landyn Locke signed since he along with his brother had strong ties to Longo. I suspect he had limited options coming off a major knee injury.

That said, this group won't help much next fall. They are REALLY thin on upperclassmen in the 2-deep all over the field. They will need to hit the portal at OL, QB, CB, S, & DL for sure, not to mention being borderline on depth at RB, TE, & LB. They could also stand to add one quality WR who can play outside. They will probably be OK at slot despite losing their best slot guy to the portal unless Pauling moves on in which case they are in big trouble in the slot as well.

not running air raid anymore per Fick.... going to more pro spread and heavy looks. Slot WR is no longer a need which is why Tech left

I get that, but wouldn't someone running a pro style offense still go 3 wide somewhat regularly, if not as often as the past 2 seasons? Pauling and Berry-Johnson are enough depth but if you lose Pauling then Berry-Johnson, a sophomore, is all you got unless you can get some mileage from Henry.
