hey you almost called it, keg. shame the way the offense ended it.



i know we don't have very good receivers, but that interception was clearly not our receivers' fault. sure hope we have a better qb and receivers next year.
 
No moral victories, but glad the Badgers showed up last night, at least on defense.

Just not enough offense. Starts with the o-line giving up pressure quickly on most passing plays. Ends with stunningly mediocre QB play. The WR's and RB's aren't world beaters, but would have been just good enough to win last night and in most of their games.

Can't go into next year with Locke as the starter. Unless they are seeing something from Mettauer in practice, they'll need to hit the portal again for a QB. Locke just brings nothing to the table other than knowing the offense. He dosen't see the field well, doesn't have a strong arm, isn't very accurate, and can't make a play with his legs. There also isn't much in the the 2025 class yet, not that you can count on onything from a true freshman.
 
I just hope in next 2 games UW can get a victory. You get just one and you get to go to a bowl game. Hate to see the 20+ year streak end.
 
A lot of stupidity out there today. No one gave UW a snowballs chance to stay within 3 scores of the Ducks and after a hell of a game it's the same bullcrap I've heard for 25 years from the UW faithful..... if we only had a QB.... if this and if that. Whine and bitch repeat and rinse.
This fanbase has no clue on what college FB is today. If you want better players you better fix the academics and admissions and find a pile of NIL funding. Tell the WFCA to get lost with the WISCO kids walk on blah blah as well because thats not going to compete vs USC/UCLA and Oregon anymore.

They won't because again..we have heads up our butt trying to be 1995 bucky rather than understanding the dynamics of college FB have changed and the program MUST change to be successful.

PS please spare me the replies about the attitude blah blah BS. You're trying run a race against a thoroughbred with a 20 yr old mule. Simple as that.

Yep there are plenty of UW alumni who are millionaires or billionaires. Shame on the school if they can't get these people to fund a decent NIL program. In today's age if you have a strong NIL program you can have a strong sports program. As you said also. UW admissions is a joke. There are probably a lot of kids who are told don't waste your time you won't be accepted because of your grades. UW needs to stop pretending they are a top 10 school in the nation and need such requirments to get in.

They want it both ways...that was possible 30 years ago. Not anymore
 
Yet, if we had a QB who could read opponents defenses, act quickly and decisively, and throw the ball downfield towards someone with a W on his helmet, Bucky wins yesterday and many more games.

We don't even need top tier. We need average. How long has it been since we've had average.

For Frig's sake, Longo''s offense is built on all of the above stuff, yet we continue to trot out a guy who could barely play quarterback in Woody Hayes 3 things happen when you throw and 2 are bad offense. Longo's offense needs more of a gunslinger.

There has to be a 'C' level gunslinger available that we aren't giving a shot.

And, screw experience. Our 'experience' gives us this experience.

I don't even know what to say about our once vaunted offense line.
