Even the game they won, where they had the huge lead, the Bucks didn't play well in Q4. Not sure what the problem is, but when the opposing teams kick up the pressure in Q4, the Bucks don't have an answer. Poor shot selection, and they can't seem to figure out how to adjust to the physical play. That said . . . Miami again got very physical; Giannis getting bumped multiple times every time he went to the hoop, Vincent was giving Middleton body blows and hanging on him when he had the ball. In the end it "shouldn't" matter about not getting fouls called on Miami - but it did. As I have said before, it's not just about what the officials call - but in these games it's about what they don't call. This Bucks team looked old and slow down the stretch of both of the last 2 games. Had double digit leads late in both games and withered in both. Too many old guys looking their age at the end of both games.
Coaching and roster construction are at fault and it's time to move on from both Coach Bud and John Horst for making this team so dependant on so many older players. Time to retool a younger group around Giannis and open a new window in the next 3-4 years.
Lopez is 35 years old. When his contract is up MKE needs to move on. Holiday I keep him his D is too good to let go. Middleton as I have said before age and injuries are not worth what he makes.Honestly, Bud did get out coached.
But also, I think they need to reevaluate Middleton and Holiday. Even Lopez.
