Rodgers Wants Out

During his press conference on Wednesday, the Packers quarterback was asked if he could ever see himself playing for the Bears and he didn't hesitate with his answer.

"No, no," Rodgers said, via Packerwire. "It's just not going to happen, man."

That is something every quarterback should be saying right now.

I mean, if Rodgers wants to enjoy life post-football, not being a QB for the Bears would be a good decision on the path to enjoying life after football.

Level 1:
Checked on whether Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was in violation of COVID-19 protocols by talking to the media unmasked. Was referred back to rules that unvaccinated players must be masked at all times inside team facilities—which includes press conferences. So the answer is yes.

He should be kissing one or two paychecks goodbye, depending on when he's cleared to return to the team. He's turned into a real problem.

If that’s the case then lots of players have been violating rules around the league. Saw Cousins and Dalton Cook as two examples

He won’t lose a check. Even if the league fines him. I believe it’s been collectively bargained

Will the Packers face any fines or lose of picks for not enforcing rules?

Strange that the league has fine system for the players if they break protocol but have seen nothing for teams that do. I think there was teh Raiders last year that lost a pick but they broke protocol many times after being warned and fined I think go GB could get away perhaps with a fine for this then. But as stated other teams have done what Rodgers has done with their players

Ultimately, the Packers could face more culpability. The NFL issued a statement late Wednesday afternoon noting pointedly that "the primary responsibility" for enforcing COVID-19 protocols is with the team, not the league. It pledged to "review the matter" and noted that teams have been disciplined in the past for protocol violations. Among the teams fined were the New Orleans Saints ($500,000), Las Vegas Raiders ($500,000), Tennessee Titans ($350,000), New England Patriots ($350,000) and Baltimore Ravens ($250,000). The Saints were also stripped of a seventh-round draft pick, and the Raiders lost a sixth-rounder.

I think the Packers will be fined because they knew he wasn't vaccinated and allowed the "immunized" sham to be partially perpetuated. I suspect there were some internal violations to that end, but I could be wrong. Hopefully they don't lose a draft choice, but they might. I'm sure the NFL will investigate whether necessary precautions were taken consistently by the team.

I don't care if AR or any player is vaccinated or not quite frankly, but the proper mandated precautions need to be taken accordingly by everyone and you wonder if they did that. What Rodgers says will now be scrutinized much more closely by everyone. He's clearly open to using "language" to obfuscate. What was he so afraid of? Man up and answer the question directly, or just say you won't answer personal health questions in public. Other players simply said they weren't (or were) vaccinated and there hasn't been any lasting fall-out. Most players were never asked or simply didn't talk about it. Geez, just stop trying so hard to be "special".
