Post Game: Packers Defeat Rams Advance to NFC Championship

Packers need to draft 1st round QB in 2021 draft piss off Rodgers again. LOL

Donald standing with tears on his face at the end tells you all you need to know about the game.
Yes. Even big boys cry sometimes.
He knew he had been taken to the woodshed by #74.
He wanted to win, but GB wanted it more.

Rodgers is on fire right now. Playing his best ball perhaps ever. I was not worried about Cam Akers at all after the Packers had contained Henry a few weeks back. Akers having 90 yards showed how overrated that the media is still bringing up last years NFCC were the Packers got run over. The run D has been much improved this year. Was fun to watch Ramsey throwing a fit because Adams just out hustled him for that TD. Also while Adams did not have any huge plays he still had some moving the chains plays. The Packers took what the rams gave them last night. There was only one play over 40 yards passing in the game and only 3 more were it went more then 20 yards. Goff just had nothing last night that thumb injury refused him to allow to put anything on his passes as the Rams only had one play over 20 yards last night. If the Packers play like this next weekend I think we will be seeing the Packers go back to the Superbowl for the first time in 10 years.

Our offensive line looked pretty good. I know Donald was out of it, but so was Bakh. Call it a wash? The blocking schemes were huge in this game. Watching Jenkins stand Donald up early, and Donald's frustration. Priceless. He let Donald blow his stack, didn't retaliate. Smart football. Patrick may be the weakest link, but he's developing into a pretty good weak link. He handled his assignments well.

Dillon looked good on his plays. He read holes, and had a tremendous cut to the back side. If he gets the entire game in his head, he could be special. Jones Ripped off decent yards at the right time. Nearly made 100 for the game. Nobody does that to the Rams.... so they say. He did. Nearly 200 total rushing yards for the Packers against the #1 defense. Impressive.

Rodgers was hitting secondary targets regularly yesterday. His primary receiver would be taken away, and he did not let it stop him. Nine catches for Adams, but it's the others with their 4 catches each, and moving the chains, that made the game look easy to them. I'm pleased to see our WRs finally get the picture. You need to work your way open, and help your QB. It doesn't matter where you stand in the progression. You never know when Rodgers will look your way. No sacks. Offense was humming.

I'm still not sold on Pettine. Yet, for some reason, his defense is playing pretty darned good. Guys who looked like they had nothing are now showing they can play this game. Yesterday we pretty much opened up with a two lineman system, and would add a linebacker or two to the rush. Even the starting lineup of our defense on TV showed us having two down linemen. I believe they plugged in Sullivan as the 5th DB, and he dropped down into the LB area to play coverage? I couldn't tell from the camera coverage. Whatever, Pettine had them dialed in to play decent defense. Gotta remember though. The Rams were hurting. Goff had to be hurting. Not the best weather for their type of team. No Kupp also hurt them more than people would think. Goff just isn't good enough to offset that kind of a handicap.

Next week it gets really tough. Win that one and we might be talking about how they really have a chance of beating a KC or Buffalo. I'll wait to see if they can win their next one though.

For all the negativity directed at WR’s not named Adams, I give you this stat line from last night.
(Tonyan, Lazard, MVS, ESB)
Combined for 13 catches, 196 yds, 1 TD.
As role players, they filled the void when the main man (Adams) was putting up 9 catches, 66 yds, 1TD.
I tip my hat to those 4 players for stepping up on a big stage.

This one went like I thought, celebrate tonight and move on to next week's game.
I think we thought the Packers by 17 so it was close. Listened to the game on the radio while traveling to Texas. Lofton was calling the game. Was neat listening to the game like the old days out at deer camp. Great win for the Packers!

Excellent stats Danno. They'll need to continue to excel throughout the playoffs. It's a great time for them to step up
