Post game Final: Bears 24, Packers 17. Stick a Fork In The season

This team has done God Awful drafting last 8 years. After 2010 drafts have gone right into the crapper 2010 look we had threats with DD, Nelson, Jennings, Jones, and Finley. Had a young OL in prime and a young QB in prime. You had a D with the right number of solid vets with young talent.

Today you have a QB at end of his prime 1 threat in Adams and a OL that is old and can't stay on the field. A D that is patchwork of mostly failed draft picks and a bad scheme.

I know many won't like this but this team is a dump. This team has a few guys you know you can build around as your future core. That puts a lot of pressure on the team to make sure you do great in the draft as the last 8 year or so we have been lucky to be at best 50% hitting guys.

Geez.....Rodgers coming back last year from that collar bone break did not effect his performance this year. The knee from earlier this year I dont believe was fully healed. Today he tweaked something just before half that seemed to have effected him the rest of the game. I think him being off is more a matter of half the team being injured and not building any chemistry together that you get when the entire group is on the field together. Also the lack of playing time in pre season hurts to.

This roster is ot done, not a dump and not as bad as most complain about. We could use some depth in a few places but its still not that bad. Injuries and a crappy coaching staff have hurt us much more than overall talent. Get a decent coach and new staff and it will be a year to get his new system installed and learned,,,,and the following year we should be right back in contention. Thats 2 drafts to add a few players and a FA or 2 in there as well. Rodgers will need to be healthy and playing to make it work, other than that, we will be ok.

I think our window is completely shut for a couple years.

We have way too many needs and holes and on top of that our elite QB is now far from elite, maybe he gets it back, but he doesn’t look like he’s willing to change his style of play too much. On top of that, he is eating up a huge chunk of our cap, making it harder to fill the holes

The time to fire mike and TT was 3 or 4 years ago. We blew our chance to easily reload and get back to a Super Bowl

I said last season when we barely beat the browns that we were equal to the browns without arod

I was wrong. The browns are better then us WITH Rodgers
Good stuff Sinatra. Good to see you back here!

Arod took the dink and dunk he refused to under MM today. He also wasn't audibing as much. But when it came time for the big play he missed several.

TT left this roster in shambles. And Arod isn't a spring chicken anymore. If GB wants one last shot at a SB with Arod they need to admit he isn't the QB he used to be and plan accordingly. It's harder now cause if his contract of course.

There are a few guys you could build with. But also many starters who wouldn't be on most other top teams.

I feel for Gutey.. he's got a helluva job in front of him.

Our roster is as good as anybody's across the board. Yes, we could be better.

Our QB is the problem. Talent isn't everything. He's never going to change. I doubt we ever sniff a Lombardi with him at the helm.

I figured the Pack would keep it close for much of the game and that's what they did. They played hard for most of the game. This game was a direct reflection of the entire season. Last week was the aberration.

AR is not the player he once was. We'll have to see if he gets it back next season or if this is the guy we have to work with for the next couple of years. Sure team injuries have played a part, but the worrisome part is the plays that aren't rhythm or timing type plays. Those should not be affected as much. The deep miss to Valdes-Scantling for example. Not a route you really work on in practice. It came off a scramble. Rodgers in the past would have hit that route easy. Yesterday he over-threw it by 5 yards.

I think his injuries play a part. You come back and find the shoulder and arm are a little different. Maybe you've lost some strength. You now have to make a concerted effort to throw somewhat harder to have the same result. This messes with your accuracy. Those timing throws where you rely on old muscle memory are coming up a little short. Gotta focus on putting a little more mustard on the throws. Now you're touch is affected. Deep throw off a scramble - you think about it and throw it a little harder than you would have in the past but you overcompensate a bit too much and overthrow by a bunch. I'm thinking that's what we are seeing.

57,

Agree with a lot of what you are saying about AR. I believe it is a combination of a lot of things.

1) Two Collar Bone Injuries- No doubt this would affect anyone's throwing motion.
2) Knee Injury- Not practicing for over half the year can definitely play a part in accuracy and timing.
3) Young WR's- Not where they are expected to be on routes. A slightly different angle taken by a WR on a route can affect a ton of things. Not coming back to the QB on scrambles, etc.
4) Offensive Line- It's bad. When you have a bad line it gets into a QB's mind. It is in AR's mind right now.
5) Age- As players get older, their skills deteriorate. Some faster than others. I am not saying AR is losing it completely but you can see he has lost a little zip on his passes.
6) Motivation- Does AR have the motivation anymore. He is getting older. Does he study film as much as he did when he was younger? I think this could be a major reason he is off and not throwing to open WR's on time. Just my opinion.

A new coach and philosophy may do wonders for AR as well as healing up over the offseason. Hopefully, a lot of this season was more because of 1-4, not 4 & 5. If it is 4 & 5, then we have bigger problems. Especially, the motivation. If that is the case then AR seriously needs to consider if he wants to play football anymore. At that point, it is time to move on for AR and the Packers.

Your #6 here hit the nail on the head IMO. And I am in agreement also on #4 and #5. You see the guy throw a dart on a 15 yd dig route then skip a pass is more skill than anything. You can still do it but not as often as you once did
