Bears win the North. Packers are eliminated from the playoffs. Quote from my friend Tony just now:

Say what you will about Rodgers' play today/this season, but please stop the discussion that Joe Philbin should coach this team next season. We don't need a retread from the MM "coaching tree". I'm sure he's a great man, but we need the *best* option. Don't settle

Time to work on the draft and finding the right HC and staff.

The sudden demise of A-Rod is unlike any other I've seen. It actually hurts to see a former marksmen and genius turned into an utter middle-of-the-road qb. He has been utterly average this entire season.

The WR after Adams are just okay. The OL hasn't been solid in 2-3 yrs regardless of "stats". I know several people have a hard on for MP but the defense is still just meh when it counts.

My preference is for a completely new staff including the strength and training staff. Fire the GPS guy and the nutritionist etc and lets get a total new outlook in here.

Agree. AR is not the same. Whether it is his injury, not practicing most of the year, and average WR's or him aging, I am not sure. But I think it is a little of all of them. You cannot miss a WR who has two steps on a CB and an easy TD. Also missed Cobb on a 30 yard throw who was wide. Things need to change and we need more talent on both sides of the ball.

Could be the end of an era in GB at this point.

A few thoughts from today.

ST. As I've always said, it'll take a coaching purge to fix it. Enough Zook

Need improved QB play next year or history will repeat. His inaccuracy all season has been puzzling.

Getting better backup OT is a must.

Tyler Lancaster played really well. Mark called that one when they signed him

Mack trade would have been interesting if it went the Packers way.

Here's to the draft and Brewers Spring training ! br)

The sudden demise of A-Rod is unlike any other I've seen. It actually hurts to see a former marksmen and genius turned into an utter middle-of-the-road qb. He has been utterly average this entire season.

We started out 2-4 on 3rd down conversions, and then proceeded to go 3-11 for the rest of the game.

We actually converted less than our season average of 37%.

Rodgers QB rating of 69.0 was his lowest game of the entire season.

I think our window is completely shut for a couple years.

We have way too many needs and holes and on top of that our elite QB is now far from elite, maybe he gets it back, but he doesn’t look like he’s willing to change his style of play too much. On top of that, he is eating up a huge chunk of our cap, making it harder to fill the holes

The time to fire mike and TT was 3 or 4 years ago. We blew our chance to easily reload and get back to a Super Bowl

I said last season when we barely beat the browns that we were equal to the browns without arod

I was wrong. The browns are better then us WITH Rodgers

Kind of the continued story of the season. Aaron missed some throws that would've made a difference. Graham dropped some passes that would've made a difference. ST was a weakness for us and a strength for the opponent, like all season long. We're not getting blown out of the water, but we also just don't have what it takes to win. Roster, coaching, up and down. Right now CHI has a really unique difference maker on D, and a very solid D roster and scheme overall.

This is what it must've been like for all those teams losing to GB over the past 7-8 years. You'd look at the Packer O and say yeah, they have one unique difference maker in Rodgers, a bunch of other guys who are pretty good and are elevated by him, and no glaring holes. Right now we're through the looking glass a little bit, on the opposite side of that equation. Our difference maker isn't making a big difference, the roster isn't solid and there ARE glaring holes. That's the difference between winning and losing.

We are an average team in a league full of average teams. Rodgers decline is troubling but is it lack of weapons at WR? Maybe but his accuracy is off as his decision making. He not the mobile QB who can create plays anymore. The window is shut and the front office has a very big decision to make regarding our franchise QB in the next 1-2 years

Played with some good heart, d balled out, lost the game on Aaron’s piss poor passes, Vikings won, couldn’t ask for more. Ideal setting.

God I hope Rodgers can turn to godgers again because there was like 4 laughably bad passes in the 2nd half amid the countless amateur sacks he took.

I warned about Rodgers coming back after his injuries. It shouldn't have happened. There are so many little "changes" in how he throws the ball that they're effecting him physically, and mentally. Sadly, this "win at all costs" mentality is pure ignorance. We may never see the Rodgers we did in the past.

QBs are no different than pitchers in baseball. They live and die with their arms. I've seen pitchers who got hit in the ribs, or just pinched a rib from sneezing, then pitched, and ended up never being as good as they were before it happened. The moment you change the mechanics that work, because of injury, you're not the same. Often, you can't find it again.

I could boom punts 45 to 50 yards beyond the line of scrimmage and get huge hang times. That is, until they took away my half step, and said that if you want to go to the next level, you can only use 3 steps. I began working on it, and I ended up losing about a second in hang time, and my punts were in the 38 to 42 yard range. Not good enough to compete.

When I tried to go back, and punt like I did before, I couldn't. I couldn't get that stroke back. It happens with a lot of athletes. We see it so often with golfers.

I wonder how that's all going to play out when it comes to Rodgers huge contract.
