Jim Taylor passed at 83 years old today. Probably the best Packers RB ever. Never got to see him play or meet him in person but do have a few items of his in my PC of packer signed items.

A tough guy to get along with from what I was told. I met him a few times, and I can tell you he could cuss with the best of them. He was a real Louisiana boy, and had that accent to boot.

He could sure tote a football, that's for sure. He did tell Lombardi he liked to punish tacklers. He wanted them to think twice about hitting him.

Yep.............coarse old cob. Same kind of personality as "Big Irv" Favre.
Tough as nails.
It was in his nature to go out of his way to run a defender over.

I think he appeared at the draft a few years ago and I thought he looked really good for his age.

Sad day.

One of my favorites when I was a kid watching the Packers.

THink that was back in 2010. Taylor did through the mail signings. I know of a guy who just had a item signed last week by Taylor.

Very sad news, and surprising. Of all the old Lombardi year Packers, I thought Jim looked the best for his age by far. Even in his 80's he looked like a guy that used to be built like a brick sh!thouse. Bless him.
