i think they'll keep all 3 until they have a better idea of where they stand. there's nothing much to lose by having three kickers in camp. The Packers now have 3 kickers on there roster. Does GB release Havrisk now? See no need to have 3 kickers in camp.
Can he kick in the cold though? If Smack makes the team he will be first kicker from the Univ of Florida to kick for the Packers since Don Chandler in 1967.
It's not that this question isn't relevant, but 2 of our 3 North division rivals currently play in domes. Starting in, what is it, 2 years, it will be all 3 division rivals. Can he kick in the cold though?
Going to be a big plus if you have a kicker who can kick in weather since in next 5 years or so only teams that will have any kind of cold weather to kick in will be GB and Buffalo. Otherwise you will have kickers kicking in domes or teams that play in warm to mild winter climates. teams that come to GB there kickers could struggle when having to kick outdoors in bad weather. It's not that this question isn't relevant, but 2 of our 3 North division rivals currently play in domes. Again, it's relevant to Lambeau and a few other venues but it's going to be less and less relevant over time.
i think it is a legit question because i looked up all of the university of florida games in 2024 and 2025 and none of the games were played in cold-weather cities. i think since the home games are half the schedule, and could be at least 4 or 5 winter weather games at home and a couple more away games. i get you point, but it could be a bigger issue than you think. but we don't even know if he has the job yet. It's not that this question isn't relevant, but 2 of our 3 North division rivals currently play in domes. So we send him to the artic circle for a month and see if he can kick in the cold.i think it is a legit question because i looked up all of the university of florida games in 2024 and 2025 and none of the games were played in cold-weather cities. i think since the home games are half the schedule, and could be at least 4 or 5 winter weather games at home and a couple more away games. i get you point, but it could be a bigger issue than you think. but we don't even know if he has the job yet.
