2025 Mock draft thread

Walter Football has to have the worst mock for the Packers yet. They did a 5 round mock and took a WR in rounds 2,3 and 5. Took Landon Jackson who is probably a 2nd round talent at 23.
walter football is not what it used to be many years ago, imho. but they claim that they are "The most accurate mock draft site in the world."

i don't even bother going there any more, so i had to take a look. the site is uglier than ever. what a mess. but yeah, that draft sucks.

Walt has so much "stuff" crammed onto that site that it's not a very smooth experience, and hasn't been for a few years. He doesn't seem to take if as seriously anymore, though he's always had some comedy mixed into his draft content. There are goofy selections and typos all over the place. Charlie Campbell's drafts seem a little more organized on the site, but even some of his selections seem haphazard.

It hasn't been the same in about five years. You can glean through the prospects a bit, but they're extremely hard to read anymore.

I haven’t submitted a Packers mock prediction yet in the other thread but I’ve honed in on two guys for the first for them - Landon Jackson and Josh Conerly. GB seems to love grabbing guys a round early at the end of the first and both of these guys have all the athletic testing they love and full athletic profiles and all that stuff. Go back to Savage, Stokes, Walker and Morgan being the latest. All guys that had the same sort of buzz “probably a second round player but I can see him maybe going in the first”. Not what I want or what I would do but that’s actually a great prediction by Walter.

but look at picks 24, 25, 26, 27 and 30. all of those are better players that fit packers needs.

Walt's site has some evaluations and picks that seem out of the norm.

Looking at his latest mock for the Packers.
- Landon Jackson in the first seems high, but hey, not ridiculously so. (Walt has him at #39 on their top 150.) It is sort of a Packer thing to do taking a guy with tremendous physical tools higher than you'd expect. It wouldn't be my pick but sh))
- Elic Ayomanor in the second seems about right considering the mixed evals on him.
- Arian Smith, the fast, kinda skinny Georgia WR, is the "out there" one. He's hard to find on anyone's top-200, much less pick #87. Walt's own site does not have him as a top-150 guy either, so why mock him at #87 to the Packers, especially when you just took a WR in the previous round. It's like he didn't pay attention to what he was doing or even his own draft board.

It makes sense only if a bunch of folks are off the board... ditto with his next 2 picks. He's overemphasizing 1 need for GB while ignoring others, which is something GB doesn't do.
