2025 Badger Football Thread

The Badgers just landed a xommitment from Mark Hamper, a 6'2" WR from Idaho. Hamper also had an offer from USC (among others) and had just visited there.

A little over the top there GBP. I've been reading their bios as they commit, and from what I've seen reported, Edwards had a Michigan visit scheduled, Reiger had a Georgia Tech visit scheduled, Hamper visited USC, Peterson had offers from Notre Dame, USC, and Auburn, Corey Walker had offers from OklaSt and VaTech, Mathew Traynor had a GaTech offer, Turner had a Kansas offer, Jung had an Iowa visit scheduled, don't know about the others, but it's not like there is no quality in this portal group at all.

Losing Lucas is kind of killing the one hope/positive for having Fickell, which was restocking talent with high-end recruits that he keeps and develops.

That said, if we're losing guys like Lucas, I'm not sure anybody is going to succeed.

Most other transfer losses are meh, but this feels like a turning point in Fickell's tenure and expectations for this program doing anything (maybe I'm overreacting there).
 
Just wait to next year if this is a 2-4 win team the bailout on players hitting the portal will even be greater.
