Personally for both sides to save face the best answer here is him walking away and retiring.

However former NFL players, so called insiders that admit they don't know and former Packer players that are friends of his but again don't know, all think he still wants to play and not retire.

But since no on knows their guess is no better then ours

He probably wants to play. But not like Favre who was willing to go anywhere to do it. Me thinks Arod only plays if it doesn't screw with his precious stats. And he's probably realizing that ain't happening even in GB or pretty much anywhere. He comes back in aint gonna be another MVP season.

That's called we mucked up and should have traded his ass and got something rather than playing Russian roulette. It would actually be funny if he does this to them in a macabre sort of sweet irony twist.
Let me also add that management malpractice began with the structure of the new deal.

#1 the current cap hit which forced void yrs on restructures and little or no flexibility
#2 Allowing the 2023 void year to trigger 7 DAYS PRIOR to league year.

That’s not on Rodgers, not on Ball and not on Gute. That’s on Murphy for allowing it to happen under his watch.

I don’t think he loves the game as much as we think. Maybe the competition on Sunday but that’s it.
