Postgame Lions beat Packers

Special Teams concerns me. It's the little things. Missing an extra point in a domed stadium. Returning the late kick off and running precious seconds off the clock (to less than the 25).

The Defense concerns me, but it could be depth and a vanilla game plan. But, Holy Cow we seemed to bite on every fake - misdirection.

Onto Lambeau and whoever ventures north

I do not trust this defense. Never have the last 11years. Having said that, Campbell is a difference maker and he was out. Also, most of the corners came out in the 4th quarter.

Bak and Meyer looked good. I like that they moved Patrick to RG again. This oline should help moving forward. (Knock on wood)

Defense and STs will be key to this run. Can they get it done?
Getting Zadarius back.

Only saving grace fir ST’s return game is that Amari WON’T be returning any kicks/punts.
It will be all Moore
Amari seemed to get worse as the year went on. Several ST blunders and seems to struggle running routes.

The Packers released G Ben Braden from the roster and WR Chris Blair from the practice squad. Both had been with the team all season.

That sucks for them.

Wonder if we needed a spot on the roster for Smith and we're trying to get Braden on the practice squad just in case?

Didn't care much about the game yesterday. The only think that bothered me was the total screw-ups on both "trick" plays. Dealing with those is not about desire, but in having your head in the game and knowing your responsibilities. Guys just got lost again on defense and that doesn't bode well for the playoffs.

As for Love, I don't take much away from his performance. He seems to lack pocket awareness at times and he's not the most accurate thrower around. Still, time and some coaching may take care of those things. I hope for the best.

Let's give Amari a chance.

While I am not happy with him returning the last kick off, who knows what his coach told him. I'm not that impressed with our special teams coaches.

Regarding routes he had a lot to learn as a rookie. And, our slot receiver routes are complex. I wish he had learned them faster, but let's give him some time. I do wish he had longer with Rodgers because I think Rodgers makes people work hard on the football smarts part of it. Hopefully, he'll learn.
