Junior Guerra surrendered a three-run homer in the seventh inning and it wound up being just enough for the Pirates to beat the Brewers, 6-5, Sunday.

This team is done. They are 20th in pitching ERA. Only 3% of teams win the WS without pitching and the Brewers offense is 15th in the league so we are not scoring a ton of runs either.

Not this year my friends.

Will they win the WS no, never expected it. Will they win the division or get a WC? 70/30 yes

Pack,

Sure they may win the division or get a WC. Doesn't matter. They are not going anywhere in the playoffs.

I don't think they make the playoffs unless they do a major trade with their pitching staff.

At this point with how Brewers played last month I think they are a .500 team that won't make playoffs will be 3rd or 4th in division.

Hitting and pitching are just bad this year.

Outside of Yelich Brewers have only one player hitting about .270 and that's Braun at .271

SP you have Davies and Woodruff as the only quality SP and neither are a number 1 guy IMO.

Bullpen outside of Hader not one guy that would scare me if I am other team.

No different than last year. Team did not have a # 1 guy last and no Kanbel. Like last year lived by the long ball. Yelich, Cain and Aguilar were the only 3 above 270 last year

3 months to go they get a WC and 50/50 on division. It’s not much different than last year

It is different. The Brewers ERA was in the top 10 and their hitting and defense were in the top 10. This year their hitting is 15th and their pitching is 20th in ERA. Their D is still top 10 I believe.

Last year, their bullpen was lights out and that was the difference. This year Jeffers is average and Knabel is out. They also had Woodruff in the bullpen rotation last year. This year Cain and Aguilar are hitting horrible for average and power.

They had the easiest schedule in the majors the last 25 games. Almost all teams at .500 or less than .500 and we were 9-16 against them. If we cannot beat those teams, we are not beating any playoff teams.

Sorry but it is just not going to happen. They need a #1 starter and a better bullpen to compete. If not, no playoffs.
