Some recent developments have to light...doubtful would happen but should be thought of....

1.) One has to wonder if maybe a change in KC is coming and Reid maybe is let go. If he's free would u want him here to replace MM?

Reid has had good QBs but no one on the order of a Favre or Rodgers to work with. Hr was considered to be the closest coach of being a Holmgren.

2.) This next one is even wilder. Sounds like Brady and Belechek aren't on good terms and Kraft has already said Brady isn't going anywhere which means coach B might.

Belechek is in 60s now and is coach and controls player acquisition. Basically has GM power.

If he somehow comes free would u want him here?

I would in a heartbeat and let MM go and also maybe then having Ball in GM role of some type wouldn't be so bad.

The bad side would be how long would he remain in coaching before retiring? As great as it would be to have him and be successful with Rodgers, if both leave at same time we could be stuck for the post Rodgers era.

I'll be 100% honest MM is here for 2018. No matter the GM they'll stick with it next season. Don't kid yourselves they have work to do and a lot has to come together for them to take 7-9 to 12-4 again.

It smells like MM has to get to that 11-5 or 12-4 mark to stay in GB but alas I'll say it again the coffers are still full and the stands will be too. I am afraid Mike and company are here for the long haul.

Heck no to Reid he is a bigger failure in the playoffs then MM is. Also ran off Dorsey because he wanted to be the guy in KC.

I hate to say this, because it's kind of doom and gloom, but we're going to see McCarthy here for at least another year. If they play well early, he'll get a fairly decent extension, and he'll be around until Rodgers hangs it up.

It just doesn't move too fast in GB.

Mark, I would have agreed with that not too long ago. But it feels different right now. I think MM needs to be very diligent in his hires for coaches this off season. I think if he fails, he’s done. That’s why he better look outside for his DC instead of hiring the same ol same ol from his precious inner circle.

With the hiring of Gutekunst, MM is here for 2018 unless something really odd happens in the next few weeks.

I suspect MG will spend what he needs to and give MM the players he wants to succeed. Then it will be on MM. It's a two-edged sword. If MM doesn't produce, MG will be able say he got the coach everything he needed and didn't get the production he should have. I suspect MM will need to produce next year, or he's out.

Which of course he will because AR will be back.
Ride his coattails again I am afraid. Because of AR back I would not doubt we make the playoffs and MM gets extended. bh(

No to Reid also. But Dorsey got released from KC because of his handling of the office. He rubs people the wrong way, doesn't run a tight ship. He'll go to Cleveland and experience some success, but hell, anyone of us would too with the crap ton of draft picks at his disposal.

Billicheat? No. He wouldn't come here this late in his career. GB wouldn't hand over total control to someone outside the organization.
