That isn't easy...hurts like hell some days. That, right there my friends, is very very promising. That ACL repair is looking mighty fine
As we all know, hitting the PT hard is important. I realize my PT wasn't anything nearly as concentrated as a professional athlete, but I realized that I could actually see and feel improvement EVERY DAY. My ortho surgeon said he did the same surgery on a professional football player and it was a full year of rehab before he even attempted to play again, so I guess I shouldn't feel bad that at 10 months I'm at about 90% (given I'm 64 and not 25 I shouldn't complain). Still stiff every day, and probably the 1 thing I can't do yet is run without feeling like it's going to give out - and that's always the hardest thing for those athletes is to get to a point where they can run again without worrying about it - I get it now. That, right there my friends, is very very promising. Why Malik Willis is an NFL free agency lottery ticket: His journey, best fits and history of paying backup QBs
From Titans disappointment to Packers breakout, Willis may be the biggest gamble -- and here's why teams will bet bigwww.cbssports.com
Though clearly this writer is blind when he stated this in the article. Though in article did mention how they ran the ball a lot with Willis in GB and most of his throws were short throws. I hope he gets paid big time for his sake and to help GB get good draft comp next year but long term I am still not sold on him being a effective 17 game starter.
Packers system brought out the best in Willis
So how on earth did he pull off this Jekyll-and-Hyde act? His supporting cast and coaching was night and day between the Titans and Packers. Tennessee had one of the worst offensive lines at the time. It also had a fledgling receiving corps after trading A.J. Brown during the 2022 NFL Draft, just before Willis' rookie season. His offensive play caller in Tennessee was Todd Downing, who has since become the Jets passing game coordinator and Patriots WR coach. By contrast, Willis played with an elite offensive line and play caller (LaFleur) in Green Bay.
That was a perfect post for him to show that strength of the repair. That isn't easy...hurts like hell some days.
