Thing is GB is cap mess they might not be able to afford a long term deal righ tnowLazard, and the Packers, are both weighing the Risk vs Reward factor of issuing him a new contract. The Packers, of course, are saying to themselves that whatever they give him shouldn't create any future cap problems, and of course Lazard is looking for front money, that will guarantee him a tidy some already in pocket, whether he does, or doesn't, prove himself.
Somewhere in the middle is reality, and the sticking point most certainly has to be guaranteed money.
Lazard is though though he's not proven much but being asked to be a #1 this year and thus will want #1 moneyYep. Guaranteed at signing vs Roster bonus, which is a GB staple in contracts.
Total speculation what he wants. I seriously doubt his “ask” is that big. Structure mattersLazard is though though he's not proven much but being asked to be a #1 this year and thus will want #1 money
Disagree. I don’t think he was that close to #12, maybe as a teammate but that’s it. This was a lifestyle moveI think they went 2 years ago before he was made to play last year of contract I think he would have been open to stay in GB
If you were him and expected to be a one would you not expected to be paid as such?Total speculation what he wants. I seriously doubt his “ask” is that big. Structure matters
I think IMO he was upset after 2020 he was not offered a contract and forced to take injury risk in 2021 and that's what soured him against resigning in GB.Disagree. I don’t think he was that close to #12, maybe as a teammate but that’s it. This was a lifestyle move
No. Body of work matters. If you were him and expected to be a one would you not expected to be paid as such?
He wanted out of GB. Fans need to come to grips with that. He’s tight with Carr and bought digs in Vegas. He wanted to move onI think IMO he was upset after 2020 he was not offered a contract and forced to take injury risk in 2021 and that's what soured him against resigning in GB.
Yes and no. I believe Adams when he says that if GB offered him their best offer last summer, he would've taken it and stayed, just like I believe him when he says that past a certain point he didn't want to stay in GB for any amount and wanted a change of scenery. He wanted out of GB.
