Wisconsin’s banner 2017 season was led by its defense, and no player was more nationally recognized this offseason than junior linebacker T.J. Edwards. It led many to speculate that he could join others on this team in leaving for the NFL a year early. Good news!! This will really solidify the LB group. They now have a solid experienced group. Edwards, Orr, Connelly, Van Ginkel and Baun are all guys who've gotten snaps and looked good doing it. Add in some promising young guys - Bell, Johnson and Maskalunas and that should be a good group again next year. Probably the best unit on the defense.

Which they'll need because it's almost inevitable that someone will suffer a fluke, season-ending injury in the last week of camp or in the first defensive series against WKU.

The way it's gone over the last few years, you're probably right! We're going to have to sacrifice a chicken, and get several nice looking ladies to dance naked around a campfire to stop the spell.

Of course, it won't help, but I'll bet we forget all about the jinx! pop(
 
it's quite a risk the young man is taking. hard to imagine his stock being much higher next year than it is right now. and if he gets seriously hurt, he could lose a lot. good for the team, but i'm not so sure it is the right decision.
