The walk-on receiver appears to be leaving UW but staying in-state at a Division III school

It looks like the Wisconsin Badgers' receiving corp may be losing a player.

Third-year sophomore wide receiver Connor Senger is no longer with the program and will transfer to NCAA Division III program UW-Oshkosh, per a report by Wissports.com's Travis Wilson. The Wisconsin State Journal's Jason Galloway also reported and confirmed Wilson's story of Senger's departure from the team with a UW official.

The 5'10, 183-pound walk-on moved from quarterback to wide receiver during 2015 spring practices. During the spring game, Senger suffered a very gruesome injury to his finger, to which he tweeted pictures of said compound fracture right after.

Senger was named the Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year the past two seasons. Prior to walking on at Wisconsin, Senger was a three-year captain at Milwaukee (Pius XI), Wis. As a quarterback, he threw for 4,564 passing yards and 37 touchdowns and amassed 2,190 rushing yards with 39 touchdowns in his career.

Best of luck to Connor playing for the Titans, who are coming off a 6-4 overall record (6-1 in the WIAC) in 2014.
