Packers land free-agent DE Muhammad Wilkerson

Details on Muhammad Wilkerson's one-year contract with the Packers: $1.5 million signing bonus, $1.6 million base salary, $1 million reporting bonus, up to $600,000 in per-game roster bonuses. There's another $2.75 million in incentives (considered "not likely to be earned" for cap purposes) in addition to the $4.7 million in salary and bonuses.

The sad part is that if he's good, we won't have him for a second year, because someone is going to offer him more money. If he isn't good, we eat a pretty hefty salary for someone who doesn't improve our pass rush.

It's a coin flip as to whether it will help us or not. It's worth a gamble, but why are we selling out our defensive backfield as if we think Mo can dominate in the offensive backfield?

To me he stinks it up you pay him less then $5 million for 1 year that is pretty cheap actually for player today. He plays great gets a huge deal in FA from some team you may get a 3rd round comp pick then for a guy you signed cheap in FA prior year.
