PACKERS FINISH THE PRESEASON AGAINST THE CHIEFS
The Green Bay Packers will travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs in their final game of the preseason.
It will be the eighth time, and the sixth since 2010, that the Packers and Chiefs will face each other in the final preseason game.
Green Bay is 4-3 when closing out the preseason against Kansas City and 8-7-1 overall when playing the Chiefs in the preseason.
The Packers have won three of the last four preseason matchups against the Chiefs and two of the last three regular-season contests, including a 38-28 win at Lambeau Field in Week 3 of the 2015 regular season.

I am interested in seeing what Burks can do in extended time tonight.

Also, I will be watching d-line and the inside LB competition.

Fakrell showed up quite a bit in the stats.. Did he look decent?

No, down in and down out I thought he was pretty poor. Not very strong, one trick pony on the rush. May look different upon rewatch.

well, there's this from acme packing company:

GAME BALLS
Kyler Fackrell led all defensive players with tackles and solo tackles. He also had a sack in this game. Fackrell was seemingly everywhere for this defense tonight and made the most of his time. Abbrederis returned all the punts tonight and average 14.2 yards per return on 5 returns. Abbrederis also led Packers receivers with 49 receiving yards on two catches. There was also a third catch that would have been an eight yard gain and a third down conversion, but a penalty elsewhere ruined that. Jacob Schum also looked very good in his debut. He had good hang time and good placement, something that was sadly missing from Tim Masthay and Peter Mortell.

Agree to disagree I guess. I didn't watch him as close in other games. I will say early on they used him only on third and long and he was maybe a little more effective. When they started playing him every down he had a harder go. On KCs first TD for example: Ryan had a chance to make a nice play for a loss in space and was too slow, but before that Fackrell got rag dolled inside by the TE then swallowed by two linemen. If he holds the edge there then the RB needs to slow down and make another move, giving more time for help to arrive. That happened a number of other times too. Was another play where he got funneled inside and went sprinting down the line in the wrong direction - the ball carrier was going the other way. Shouldn't surprise anyone because this was the knock coming out but that guy can't play every down. Maybe as a pass rush specialist late in games, and ST contributor. Frankly thought that guy we traded to the Bills was better.

Another thought - the interior back up OL of Patrick, Barclay and Taylor was like the three stooges at times, literally falling over one another. RT Murphy has done OK at times but he seemed to be off balance a lot. Spriggs was the best of the bunch but even he had a couple whiffs and plays he'd like to forget.

Agree to disagree I guess.

frankly, i didn't get to see any of the game. i just presented that article as an alternative viewpoint. so basically, he was either awesome or podo( - depending upon your view. sounds about par for the course for rookies.
