I'm not gonna try to defend MM but the personnel issues are one mans fault. We don't know what happened behind closed doors at 1265 Lombardi but you could sense MM's frustration with the lack of talent acquisition the last few years, especially when injuries hit a position group hard. Never say never. This team is not that far away from getting back to the Super Bowl. If this team did absolutely nothing to the offense and AR stays health next year they are a top 5 offense. The defense is a couple play makers away from being top half and that is good enough to win it all. Add an elite pass rusher, an elite corner and a better scheme and this d could be top 10.

Hate to use this as an excuse, but health (in particular) at CB, OT, OLB hurt this team in 2016 & 2017 (QB not withstanding).
Sure they overcame injuries in 2010, but (IMO) they got freaking lucky that year. They were healthy (and a juggernaut) in 2011 while being relatively healthy. Unfortunately they may have peaked too early that season.
Better team health will go a long way to getting back to the playoffs. Rolling the dice in FA and the draft might help, but so does staying healthy.
