Either one or both could hang around for a while, but I doubt either of them gets that "next" contract. Both are athletic, but not elite athletes. I don't believe Koenig is capable of playing the point full-time in the NBA and probably isn't a good enough shooter right now to play the 2. Hayes is a classic tweener who might make it as a defensive role player but on offense he's not long enough for the 4 spot and not skilled enough to be a 3.

If I were to bet on one, I might bet on Koenig. With the direction the game has gone, if he can become a dependable 3-pt shooter, a team may give him a shot.
