1 Packers: Now 33, Aaron Rodgers seems to be getting better with age, which explains why the Packers are the early favorite to repeat as Super Bowl champions in 2017. They have plenty of cap room to make tweaks and re-sign guards Josh Sitton and T.J Lang, they always draft well and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Eddie Lacy are coming off All-Pro seasons. There just isn't a lot to dislike in Green Bay.

Kind of interesting.

Is that article a joke? Patriots are odds on favorites to win it all and they are 18th in the rankings. The article says the Vikings don't regret cutting Adrian Peterson, what? AP wasn't cut.

Just the discussion of the packers seems a little off. They don't have enough Cap space to sign both Josh Sitton and T.J Lang during the season. Eddie Lacy did not have a pro-bowl season.

Nevermind. That article was written in 2015.

Written in early 2015, before the 2015 season, trying to predict the 2017 season--which is not this coming season but the one after.

PACK to the Future!

Always liked Walter's early next years mock right after the draft.
See who they think will be drafting the last four spots.
Slow time of year, jazzes it up a little.

Great prediction for us Packer "blind optimists" even if over a year old! Basically in February 2015, Gagnon predicted this for the upcoming 2016 NFL season:
  1. Packers beat Colts for the SB title;
  2. Aaron Rodgers is MVP;
  3. HaHa and Eddie are All-Pros;
  4. Packers beat the Cowboys for NFC championship;
  5. Vikings win one playoff game;
  6. Bears suck without Forte;
  7. Denver average without Manning;
  8. Tom Brady, hence New England, crashes down to earth with a disappointing average record;
  9. The RGIII colossal bust sends Washington further into the cellar;
  10. Bengals cursed in big games;
  11. Giants are highest scoring team in NFL in 2016;
  12. Jaguars improve;
  13. Mariota emerges and Tampa have a good year;
  14. Rams transition to LA smooth and Rams have a good year;
  15. Cam Newton has an inconsistent year and Carolina does not contend;
  16. Browns are Browns, and...
  17. Lions remain the Lions...
Overall some decent predictions that I hope some come true this season, particularly the Packer ones.
