The second of the team's seven draft picks has signed his initial 4-year deal.

The Green Bay Packers continue to lock in their 2016 draft picks this weekend as the rookies are in town for rookie minicamp. Yesterday, fifth-round pick Trevor Davis signed his four-year deal to become the first of the team's seven picks to do so.

Today, defensive end Dean Lowry, who was chosen in the fourth round of the 2016 Draft, did the same, according to a report from ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Lowry was chosen with a compensatory selection, #137 overall, which came six picks after the Packers selected linebacker Blake Martinez at #131, also a compensatory pick. According to Over the Cap, all players chosen with compensatory picks in a certain round should have roughly the same contract values. Therefore, Lowry's deal should be nearly identical to that of linebacker Blake Martinez and should follow a structure very close to OTC's projection below:

  • Signing Bonus: $383,333
  • 2016: base salary $545,847; cap hit $641,680
  • 2017: base salary $635,847; cap hit $731,680
  • 2018: base salary $725,847; cap hit $821,680
  • 2019: base salary $815,847; cap hit $911,681
