The new starting fullback can't wait to get the pads on, while his quarterback has a commitment right before the start of camp this July.

No Kuhn? No problem.

That's the goal for Aaron Ripkowski this season. The Green Bay Packers fullback hopes to make teammates and fans forget about the old bearded fullback, though not necessarily by being a one-for-one replacement. No, Ripkowski is his own player with his own strengths and his own energy, and he's hoping to take hold of the fullback job in training camp and make his own mark on the Packers' offense rather than to follow in another player's footsteps.

Meanwhile, the player who he will be protecting on passing downs also has his eye on something leading up to training camp - a range finder. Aaron Rodgers has locked himself in for a commitment just before the start of camp, and he'll be hitting the links instead of the gridiron.

Check out these items and more below as we continue our slow slog through the NFL offseason.

Now Begins the Real Challenge for Josh Hawkins | Cheesehead TV
Hawkins is mentioned as being similar to Sam Shields coming out of college, and although he'll be competing with Makinton Dorleant for snaps with the reserves on defense, Hawkins has the pure speed and leaping ability to give himself a good shot at making the team.

This is an interesting pairing - one I would not have expected, but one which gets more and more intriguing upon further consideration.[BCOLOR=#ffffff]NFL, Cirque du Soleil to offer fans the ultimate NFL experience - NFL.com[/BCOLOR]
