From what I've heard, there's more players offering just as much. Some big gainers from last year's squad. A solid crop of freshmen, many of which will probably red-shirt, and create one heckuva nucleus next year to go with those who have matured into the system now.

The key is Hornibrook. He has to become one of the better passers in the Big 10 to insure our offense can roll on the ground. If he can hit his receivers, this team could be a competitor.

Big 10 Championship this year? Probably not, but a good chance of winning the West, if they can get past Nebraska and Iowa. Anything can happen in the Big 10 Championship game, so who knows? It's a long way off.

There have been some good reports from camp. Looking forward to seeing the secondary. Nelson sounds like a terrific addition at CB to go with Tindal. Safety should be solid as well. I have no doubt that they can stop the run well enough to compete with almost anyone. It's the pass defense that has killed them at times. Shore that up and they can certainly win the West again.
