Very quick update due to widespread power outages and wind damage around here this afternoon:

LaFleur on Etling: "That’s obviously a very difficult decision; the amount of respect everybody has here for Danny. ... Just thought it was unfortunately a necessary move to get everybody the amount of reps they needed." #Packers

LaFleur on Sean Clifford: "He has some gamer to him."

Packers coach Matt LaFleur on Sean Clifford and Alex McGough fighting it out for the backup QB job after Etling's release."Nothing's ever permanent in this league. We'll just see how these guys go about their business."

LaFleur said they have a preliminary plan for Friday's preseason opener at Cincinnati as it pertains to Jordan Love and the starters but nothing is set."We talked about playing everybody," LaFleur said adding that there "might be a select few who won't go."

Quick update on Gary’s return from PUP. Rookie WR Grant DuBose is also practicing for the first time

Injury update: RB Lew Nichols (shoulder), S Innis Gaines (quad) are the new ones. Deguara, Hanson and Stokes all still sidelined.

Carrington Valentine gets snaps outside with ones. Love gets picked by Savage on first team snap

Karl Brooks was in backfield a couple more times with twos. For all those wrestling fans out there, he practically hit a sling blade on Wilson for a thud tackle

Carlson went 2 of 3. Extra point and 44 good. 45 miss went off left upright

Jayden Reed showing supreme concentration, Valentine tips a pass for Reed in red zone, Reed catches it and gets his two feet down for the TD

Practice ends after an hour and 21 minutes with a nice red zone showing for the No. 1 offense. Love with consecutive TD passes — a slant to Doubs and a sidearm flick to Musgrave against Walker. The offense wins the day.

LaFleur calls Malik Heath a "big, goonish" type of receiver - a style the Packers like.(Once upon a time, LaFleur called Lazard a goon)
