South Carolina's Jerell Adams posted the top 40 of the day, but the best prospect at the position did not run on Saturday in Indy.

On Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium, the tight end position took the field for drills at the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine. The Green Bay Packers have a perceived need at tight end, and will be looking closely at the position.

Unfortunately, a few of the top prospects did not run in Indianapolis. Hunter Henry from Arkansas, universally touted as the top tight end in the draft class, did not run any individual drills and will instead wait for his Pro Day. Also joining him on the sidelines were Ohio State's Nick Vannett and Western Kentucky's Tyler Higbee, among others - although Vannett did everything except the 40-yard dash.

The top performers on Saturday were South Carolina's Jerell Adams, who led the way with a 4.64-second 40-yard dash, and Montana State's Beau Sandland, who had a vertical jump of 35" and the highest long jump of 10 feet, 4 inches. Harvard's Ben Braunecker also put up a good all-around performance, with a 4.73-second 40, 35.5-inch vertical, and top times of 6.90 secons in the 3-cone drill and a 4.20-second short shuttle.
