Our View: Getting one of the best players in any division of Florida football is not a bad way to go, but the Badgers are getting more than just an all-state performer in Ke’Shan Pennamon. They are getting a tough-nosed cornerback with speed, speed and more speed.

The fact that he recorded stats as a running back, receiver and defensive back speaks volumes to his overall athletic ability. Seeing him blaze past an entire team for a touchdown return from goal line to goal line was also something that stood out.

Not being afraid of contact at his weight also is a good sign going forward. Combine his speed with a coach who can focus on technique and this could be a very dangerous pick up for the rest of the Big Ten when all is said and done. It’s part of the reason former Badgers co-defensive coordinator turned Rutgers head coach, Chris Ash, came sniffing around trying to flip him late in the process.

With what we see on film, Pennamon isn’t a sure-fire hit in his first season, but certainly packs enough of a punch to be very intriguing.
