APC will be covering the Combine in Indianapolis again this year - get ready for the event here is the schedule for all of next week's activities.

On Tuesday, the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine begins with the arrival of the first group of players to Indianapolis. That will kick off seven days that NFL teams will spend in Indy scouting and interviewing the 300-plus players coming to town for the annual event.

Over the course of the Combine's media days, Acme Packing Company's Evan "Tex" Western will be on-site in the Media Room at Lucas Oil Stadium, collecting interviews with many of this year's prospects, coaches, and General Managers (including the Green Bay Packers' Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson) and giving an inside look into the Combine itself. Make sure you're following APC on all the major social media platforms to get the inside scoop on the Combine. We can be found at @acmepackingco on Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.

Joining Tex in representing the SB Nation network at the Combine are 3k from Turf Show Times, Danny Kelly from Field Gulls and SB Nation's NFL coverage, and Alexis Chassen from Land-Grant Holy Land and SB Nation NFL.

Combine Schedule

Combine participants are broken down into four sets based on their designated position, and their schedules are set up based on the position groups. Each set of players will go through the same basic schedule, but will do so one day apart.

The first day for each player will consist mainly of registration and orientation; day two is measurements, physical exams, and media availability; the third day will cover an player's union meeting plus some testing and the first drill, the bench press; and finally the players' fourth day in Indy will see them take the field for their drills and workouts. Players may end up meeting with representatives from NFL teams at nearly any point in the process, and they are going almost non-stop for these four days.

All told, the schedule means that media availability runs from Wednesday through Saturday, while on-field drills go from Friday through Monday. The following are the physical drills that each player will have the opportunity to participate in:

  • 40-yard dash
  • Vertical Jump
  • Broad Jump
  • 3-cone drill
  • 20-yard shuttle run
  • 60-yard shuttle run
  • Bench press (performed the day prior to on-field drills)
